One of my favorite foods is sushi, so this past weekend my family and I went to Sushi Teri.

There are many amazing sushi places here in Santa Barbara. Local fishing boats catch white sea bass and king salmon to crab and sea urchins.I believe the best sushi bar in town is called Sushi Go Go at the harbor. It’s a cute little place with a view of the Santa Barbara Harbor. The restaurant is a small, outdoor seating only corner place. My favorite to get is the Spicy Baked Salmon roll with imitation crab, avocados, cucumbers, and baked salmon on top, covered in this sweet but spicy sauce and (fish eggs?) as the finish. It is more of a takeout place, so I love getting the baked salmon roll after a long day of dance and school.

There is little room to sit and it’s cold next to the ocean so we decided to go to another amazing sushi restaurant called Sushi Teri. We have been going here as a family ever since I was really little. For dessert we used to get the green tea ice cream and fried bananas, it sounds weird but it’s actually really good. When I was younger I used to get salmon sashimi with a lot of edamame. Sushi Teri is a local business with three other locations in Santa Barbara County. We usually go to the one on BLANK street next door to a Goodwill. One thing truly negative about Sushi Teri is that it has gotten quite expensive over the years due to the fact that the owner has expanded and had good business.

This weekend I had dance rehearsal and then my parents made me go to my sister’s performance. To celebrate her we went out to lunch. My go to roll at Sushi Teri is a California roll with imitation crab, avocados, and cucumber. This time though I also tried something different called a Alaskan roll. It had salmon and avocados. I really enjoyed it. My sister and I grab a handful of the little peppermints they give and throw the wrapper at each other. I swear I’m like secretly 4 years old with Taylor.
